What's In A (Pirate's) Name?

I got very excited when I saw Bess was one of the choices on POTCO, it's my name and I love how rare it is. So then I had to pick some sort of last name that would match it well. I don't think it took me too long to get to Shoregrim. It was just the right amount of dark and just the right amount of piratey. Since POTCO my pirate alter ego has always been Bess Shoregrim.
