I am pretty active on both of the Pirates Forums sites, and I check both daily for new alerts and whatnot, so I went on the other one today and this message popped up...

I have no idea why or how this happened, any suggestions?
 
OH thats what happened to me today too, even though im not active there I just thought of checking and got the same message. Yes I have an account but never posted anything.... Idk...:confused:
 
Ahoy there Jason,

You may wish to reset your modem, so you can get another IP Address from your Internet Service Provider!
  • Simply turn off or unplug your modem for about five minutes. (You don't have to turn your computer off.) In many cases this alone will change your IP address when you go back online.
  • If that doesn't work, try unplugging your modem overnight and checking your IP address the next morning.
 
Admins have the power to ban someone's IP address so they can't ban dodge. Probably was an accident.


Note: This never happens on piratesforums.co! :P
 
I think it was just a glitch on the website itself. I went back on later that day, and it was fine. Talked to a couple other people who were having the same problem. It's fine now though.
