Why did they? Its sad news but they have removed AndabaNot sure if its temporary or permenant. All us svsers are using Angassa for privateering now.
Probably went to fix some bugs with the server I think. The ship updates still had a few bugs that needed to be fixedWhy did they?
Will it very be back?Probably went to fix some bugs with the server I think. The ship updates still had a few bugs that needed to be fixed
I agree they take the servers off to give them a quote "REST" when they bring them back they are the same even worse at times. Because of all the sudden traffic.Do they think that what ever they are doing will help?...
Unless they switch to better servers or upgrade them, nothing will change!
That would be nice if they were doing it that way. If so, they should inform us. I know that is how WoW works, only because I know someone who plays that game. WoW, and I'm sure other online games, will have a set down time for each server for upgrades and fixes/patches. I think POTCO should start doing the same thing. Would make things run a lot better if they clean house once a week.Chances are they're being pulled offline for upgrades or server-side patches to the game. They may be pulling them individually to minimize downtime to the game.
I think thats what they are doing. But there are no noticeable changes in the servers. Yet. Hopefully the servers will become stronger and all together faster and able to run everything the way they were designed to. After Andaba came back it had a huge flow of traffic almost immediately. The overflow caused the server to reset. The way Disney is fixing servers is not working very well. I would suggest they limit the amount of people on a server when they are released that way the server will have time to catch up and be re introduced without worrying about the possibility of crashing. But yes I do think they are fixing servers not just taking them down for no reason. And I appreciate they not closing the game well conducting repairs. If we look back a year ago it is clear Disney is trying harder to fix it problems then they were during the resets other problems that year.Chances are they're being pulled offline for upgrades or server-side patches to the game. But there's a big difference between POTCO and WoW servers. In POTCO you are able to switch from server to server while on other online games, after you choose the server and create your character you cannot switch servers. So if you wanted to play in a different server you would have to create a new character and start all over from the beginning. That is one of the reasons WoW and other major online games have to notify its players that a server will be down temporary. That would be nice if they were doing it that way. If POTCO is taking servers out to do small patches, then they could close a few servers down, fix issues, close all of POTCO thing down while readding those servers, then allowing us all to log in again. There are ways that things could be done smoothly... just a matter of IF they choose to do them. But there's a big difference between POTCO and WoW servers.
