What will ye use the ship for most? SvS? Plunder? Large crew, small crew, solo?

If ye SvS alone, plunder with a small crew Id go for the Copperhead. Plunder, SvS with a good crew go skull and bones. SvS, plunder with a great crew, then Storm Chaser or Firestorm(choose which ever ye have maxed in cannon).

Hope this helps some, but if ye answer the first set of questions I may be able to narrow it for ye more.

Depends on preferences, and what the ship will be used for. Keep in mind, each upgrade varies in looks, too....
-Plundering, Fortune Hunter/Firestorm.

-SvS, Skulls&Bones OR StormChaser, depending on your preference for speed. StormChaser is very fast, Skulls&Bones has about a 10%(?) upgrade in speed.

-Fighting Bountyhunters, high lv ships, fleets, etc. etc., Copperhead.

well for solo Treasure Fleet hunting may i recommend the war frigate Copperhead....svs war sloop Stormchaser....general purpose massive money making machine i highly recommend a fortune hunter War Galleon as it comes with 27 cargo slots :D just a few opptions oh fyi the lv V Copperhead all be it short lived was a Death Star on water 22,000 ish hull points and 20% chance of full explosives broadsides....i sunk an Intrepid ( that's a lv 71 SOTL EITC Treasure Fleet ship in two broadside volleys ) it got waaaaay watered down to it's comatose state due to most of the svs players screaming foul for it being to powerful ) sigh nd every pirate went after it...so the mouse giveth and the mouse taketh away....please allow them to be lv V and VI mickey ppppllllleeeeeaaaaassssseeeee like seeing stormchaser run to the edge of the world when they see a Copperhead :D cuz ya never know who may have max explosives and a priming cannon ram.... ;):drink::cannon:

To be truly honset, I'm going to go with the Fotune Hunter War Brig. It has "a little bit of everything" As it plainly says, I'm not saying this couse I have one myself, but I'm looking at it the way someone would if they didn't have a ship of ANY kind, not as a noobie, but as someone looking for a ship that can do just about anything.

Skull & Bones, just because I'm a plunderer. And those fury broadsides ... very appealing. I don't know how long it takes to get there though ...

All it has is fury and armor, it doesn't have more cargo, therefor only 16, You go with what you want, and I'll go with mine :)

I Will use it for material run with a large crew :)

I would go with my Copperhead War Brig. I KNOW this is about your War Frigate, but man, oh man, that Copperhead War Brig is awesome. It's almost unstoppable.

I've sailed my War Frigate with NO upgrades and then my War Brig Copperhead to compare.

One FULL-ON hit (broadside volley) by a warship on my War Frigate and it's DEEP in the red--a couple more fiery cannon balls woud sink me.

One Full-On hit from same warship on my War Brig Copperhead and it barely dents it. I love it. NO green from the long green life bar goes away and my side and rear panels barely (really, barely) move. I've not been sunk since getting ther Copperhead War brig. I've gotten close, but she holds up against even three warships at the same time--sunk all three warships btw. Gotta keep moving of course, but it's like a Timex--this ship take's a licking and keeps on ticking. Had a good crew too, no doubt.

I dont SVS by BTW.

I have lvl VI Storm Chaser. Each broadside cannon has 45% chance of firing lightning. Very satisfying to hear it when the whole broadside is lightning! :cannon:
One problem I notice is that crew grumble until the hunters appear since I can take down Death Omens with one broadside - no fun for them.

My second pirate is going to have Copperhead
