The sad thing is that in this community everything cause controversy, lol.

Devs: "Were raising the level cap to 51"
Community: *RAGEEEE*

LOL IM DEAD, CUZ ITS TRUE. people needa chill out. and if someone wants to spam trading, cant they put a spamming block on it? like when u spam chat and it says ***spamming*** there ya go problem solved. 1. you wont be spammed 2. if you dont want to trade then there is NO TRADE. 3. and if you do want to trade its your decision. it adds more to the game in my eyes. just one more option it didnt have before. it will neither help or hinder. but seriously people quitting? over a darn trade? seriously?? chill out the worst thing that could possibly happen is getting annoyed with someone spamming you for a trade. again my idea of the spamming block.

lol no offense but i dont think you understand what you are talking about, let me put it to perspective this game currently has a very limited amount of content. For many people the only thing left to achieve are certain items and they come play for them and now imagine if they got all items why would they come to a mmo where they achieved everything they wanted and cared for and having nothing left, dont you think it would become pointless for them to play the game and not play and people quitting isnt a good think just fyi.

i pretty much have everything i want and i still play
i saw your youtube you arent even at the warship yet and havent even gotten any good high weapons and you are under level 30 and you are doing quests still, there can be someone whose only goal is to get a light slope and crude weapons should we diminish the value and worth of higher items because that person can have fun with that and so can everyone?

I think a main theme I'm seeing with people against this is one of two things:

  1. They can't seem to fathom the idea that some people don't play the game for the looting but instead of playing.
  2. Elitism and the desire to feel better than others by having better equipment (so basically for the sole reason of they don't want others to have said item).

how is it elitism i dont have the best items right now and i am playing to get them if the trade is implemented i can easily get lost sword and other rare thing from my friends i know a few of them have 3 of them. How is being against removing the only goal most people have elitist? plz explain.

I see this kind of like drugs. Those who do drugs will continue to do drugs, whether they are legal or not. Me personally, I don't care what other looters get, I care what I get. So even if some level 1 has full db, and lost sword due to trading, I really don't care. I'm still gonna loot for it. However, I see it as a benefit because it could help if we also institute a bank system like mmo's have. Store money in them so you can hold more, which means you can make an in game business. So say you are a looter who really likes sailing, but don't have much gold to buy that next ship upgrade. What you do have is a bunch of famed weapons you don't want or need, and maybe ole Billy Bones has a ton of gold, but no luck with famed. It hurts looters none to trade, because it will still be valuable to them when they find the items, and could help those with worse luck than others. I don't honestly see how it could hurt the game at all. If people want to quit over small details, that is their choice, but overall I think the community, looters as well, would be receptive to the idea.

I'm not referring to your viewpoint, yours falls under the first one. The elitists are those like Charles that think you should waste weeks of your life to get an item.

I have a deep question for you legendary looters (need autograph soon pls) @Charles Warmonk ...

So you were saying that trading will ruin your sanctity of looting... so what about fishing loot that is obviously over powered? Does that ruin the looting experience knowing these items are too easy to come by? I saw somebody get 2 very rare Rams from fishing yesterday within 15 minutes... so you're saying trading is a no... then why are you fishing.... please enlighten me Professor Warmonk of Looting, Harvard University.

Famed are fairly easy to get, I get them on land nearly as often as I do fishing. Yes, fishing is not suppose to be this 'over-powered' and I 100% agree it should be nerfed asap. However, it is NOT game breaking. As TRADING could be abused, for example. 1 pirate looting at south idol, gives you (Famed + 1% chance) Let's say.... if you have 2 pirates at idol it's a (Famed + 2% chance) and so on and so forth, if players make 20 pirates farming the same spot, it's a (Famed + 20% chance) so a pirate (or guild) could simple farm ONE SPOT and trade ALL THEIR WEAPONS into one pirate.

Making dedicated looters such as myself, @Bort Greasegorb @John Foulroberts and many many others retired. As looting would no longer be about dedication or perseverance, but how many accounts you can spam or how many people give you stuff....

Given that neither of those two have really given their opinions on the manner... I wouldn't say they would retire given that they haven't made a post that I'm aware of. Also, how is OP items via fishing not game breaking but trading is? Trading is optional, in fishing you have no say in what you get... lol. So to be honest, I think you and others should quit fishing because it's ruining the sacredness of Looting.

I love how the only thing you respond to is how fishing is OP. Yet, you don't acknowledge the fact about how (Famed +20% chance) would break the game.... Please answer a question before asking another question. Or else it just turns into a yelling fest repeating the same question over and over.

Yes your graciousness...
I was pointing out a flaw in your logic. Frankly I don't care if somebody trades for a famed or not etc... it's not my pirate so I don't worry about it. And I didn't really follow the percentage thing, that's why I didn't answer it... I don't see what that came from...

You can. Make pirates. Farm One Spot. And Trade it. ALL to one pirate. Getting an unfair advantage. Over other pirates.
The more pirates that loot the same spot, the HIGHER chances you have to get a bright/famed/legendary.
How is that not hard to understand?

I get the concept I just don't feel like that has to do with this discussion... anyways, I'll gladly trade when I have extra brights and I will occasionally utilize the trading system... I guess you will have quit by then so I'll be sad to see you go as there aren't many great options outside of TLOPO.

First off, why are you picking on Charles @Stephen Teague ?
Second of all I actual DO think fishing is over powered. I'm proud to say that I have all 5 fames from Skull Chests NOT fishing.
