Does Treasure Sense work?

Hello, I've looked around on the forums for a while and couldn't find anything about this. I heard from different people that treasure sense works. And from others that it doesn't work. Which one is it?

Treasure sense certainly works, people just don't understand how it works. It's also not as potent as people would like.
