Hello developers and pirates of POTCO:MC,
I have found youtube videos which have shown mods which allow the player to drive any type of ship that is created. It just has to be made evenly. (maybe, I don't know, I'm not the smartest person in the world)

I'm still somewhat confused of what version they are or if they have been changed. Most of them are 1.7.10, I think.
