Getting into PC gaming for cheap

There is one major thing that you need to get into PC gaming, and that is a PC. I just helped a friend buy a PC by showing him what to buy, and this is what he got:

Now, lemme talk about the parts that were chosen. The first link is a pre-built pc, and now you might wonder why I chose a prebuilt. Well, it has an i5, though an older model, is still pretty great. It has 8GB of RAM, a 1TB HDD, and Win 7.

My friend wanted a minimum of 2TB, so I chose a nice 2TB HDD to go along with the 1TB he will already have installed, which makes him quite happy.

He wanted a good gaming experience, but didn't wanna pay to much for a GPU, so the 760 was a great compromise.

The PSU was an easy choice. Affordable, 80+ Bronze, and 600 watts, all made by EVGA.

And he got all this for 550, and it included a keyboard and mouse, and the keyboard come in handy seeing as he does not have one.

Now, this isnt exactly cheap, but there are cheaper options out there.

An easy way to go cheap is to buy this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883283249&ignorebbr=1 Then installing either this GPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487165 or this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500349 depending on budget. And you will need this PSU no matter what http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438014

If you are interested in any other configurations, just ask
