I know the original POTCO did not have a true (legit) short cut for getting to Las Pulgas (the back side of Padres Del Fuego). Before they fixed it, we could swim from the front to the back (how many of you oldies remember that?). Currently there are a couple of glitches you can do to get back there faster than running through Becket's Quarry and El Sudoron. However, the devs may soon close those glitches.
My suggestion is to divide the ring around Padres into two zones: A front and a back. They can be color coded so while you are on your ship it is clear to which zone you are porting. It would save a lot of time and people would not feel compelled to glitch there.
