Quests Giant Crabs

I need to kill a single Giant Crab on isla Cangrejos, but killing one won't complete the quest (Part of the Black Pearl Quest in recruiting Doc Grog's associate). Relogging doesn't fix the problem and neither does switching to different servers and killing the crabs there. Does anyone have any ideas?
Edit: I've tried killing the boss crab to no avail.

Kill the boss scatter snap or the other one I forgot the name

I should've mentioned: I had all ready tried killing the boss crab.

Scatter Snap is on the back of the island and is different from the other crab boss, Croquettes de Crabe.
