Sailing Glitching/ Lagging

I just logged in after the update and the seas are incredibly laggy and glitchy, the boats are disappearing and reappearing in a totally different location. You shoot your broadsides and there is about a 6 second delay AFTER the cannons hit that it takes damage IF they even take damage, also some of the skills like "take cover' and 'open fire" are not working either.

Was just on a sailing run, and the game kept freezing. Was sailing on Abassa yesterday morning prior to the update, and all was perfect.

We're aware of some latency issues with our servers. We should be coming down today sometime for maintenance to address this.

Just an update on this.

This maintenance was completed silently moments ago (with players still in-game). Latency issues should subside, though if any more do crop up, we'll take a look.
