I came across this glitch when I boarded my ship on the docks at Port Royal, It seemed that I could still see all of the local chat from the docks at Port Royal after I boarded my ship, finally I met up with RoseFox and got her to help me test it, I do not think that the people around the dock could see my responses, however I could see what they were saying.
