I tried to cancel my reservation for tonight at 10pm eastern time, but not sure it actually got cancelled. I logged out and back in but it says my time is still reserved. I hope somebody can play in my slot?

If it says your slot is still reserved, then it is likely still reserved, in which no one can take it.
Some users are affected by a glitch that causes us to not be able to cancel reservations. I am one such user. It is something very frustrating that the crew last I heard was looking into. Since my time on my computers doesn't synchronize very well with the website I rarely get times that are good for me and it just won't let me cancel.
