Why Max barry hates Windows

For years I have been party to a website called NationStates (nationstates.net) which was created by an Australian author (Max Barry) who blogs on his own website. I, having absolutely no life, read through his blog sometimes. I felt like sharing some of his views on Windows and why you may just not. I found it very informational and in a way comical.

That's true and untrue in the same time, yes, the Linux community is mostly from programmers, but you don't have to be one to use Linux.

I use Windows not because "because everyone else does and it's just better that way." I use it because most computer games are exclusive to windows or need an emulator to work on Linux or Apple. I'm not particularly fond of Windows per se, but I do love to game so I use it.

If you don't want too much on your head I'd recommend to stay for a while with Windows and use fancy IDEs.

After years of experience programmers usually ditch IDEs and use Text Editors and make files. But that's not something you should be bothered with right now.
