looks ugly tho
It's not actually gameplay and it's going to be mobile only. CP was always playable on mobile, however it looks like it will have all features now in the mobile version.looks ugly tho
Because they will shut down some time in March.http://www.clubpenguin.com/ sites still up
It seems like any other failing web/desktop game, it was ported to mobile to keep the game alive...Well, again, not entirely shut down. Club Penguin is moving to a mobile only game, called Club Penguin Island.
Agreed. At least you're not one of those people who hates everything club penguin stands for, simply because it "caused" POTCO's shutdown.I stopped playing cp a while ago so idk I feel bad for those who play
I agree with this, though there have been few exceptions. Clash of Clans being one of the most notable.Although I hadn't played Club Penguin for quite a while, I'll miss it. A lot of childhood memories there. Regardless, I see the choice to move the game to purely mobile as a horrible decision. Mobile games never last. They go through their trending phase and then die out rapidly. I would think Disney of all people would know this all too well with the many mobile games they have released. I don't see this being a good overall turn-out. I can see this new "Club Penguin Island" closing down in 3-5 years after release, and loosing the majority of it's playerbase by 1 year.
Yes, they bought it. It's disgusting how Disney treated the potco and toontown communities.
I found and started playing potco in march 2008, so I really never knew anything about VMK until later when I saw references to it.If you think that was bad, you should have seen the crap they pulled with the VMK closure >.>
