A New Island?
So the idea of TLOPO adding a new island happened to cross my mind after seeing some conceptual works for POTCO from several years ago in 2010 (that's before the game closed); Disney Interactive was planning, or at least had the thought, to include an entirely new island by the name of Jolly Roger's Island, but little is known about this place or its relation to the game. However, the information on 'piratesonline.wikia.com' states that "the island would most likely serve as a base of operations for Jolly [Roger] to house his army, and plan his nefarious invasions," and also said that the design would be of "a cursed Aztec theme," but Disney cancelled it due to the encumbering cost the project would bring; all additional information is all based on speculation (The link will be included if you wish to see it for yourself). Today, years after POTCO's closer, the community is still much alive with ideas and support, which brings forth the opportunity for an island such as this to be brought from the realm of a mere thought, to an entirely vitalized map that players will be able to fully explore and reinvigorate their adventure. Even if an island of this size is not or simply cannot be implemented there is still a likelihood that a smaller island (or islands) can be incorporated into the game, which still grants a greater experience for the players and allowing for an increased geographic diversity. Thus, the idea for a new main island, or any new island for that matter, would be a vital and influential addition for those who want to heighten their adventure of piracy in TLOPO.(However, I realize TLOPO is not at all ready, nor possesses the funding, to even remotely consider taking on a project of such a massive scale at this time.)
