Question About Character Resetting

I was just wondering whether or not character data, as in levels and items and such, will ever be reset, either when there is open beta or more likely with full release.

I only ask this because it seems to me at least, that from alpha to beta my character was reset and I had to make a new one. I could be completely wrong, but I'm still wondering whether there will ever be a situation where character data is reset.

Barring any significant issues, there shouldn't be any rollbacks either.
