The following is in response to the below article (review carefully those parts pertaining to Disney Interactive):

- When it comes to the SPORT of horse racing... :pepe:...the actual names of the horses themselves are enough to entice you to place your bet as a spectator. :reading:(After all, it's not like you can trot yourself out to the stables themselves before the actual race with hope of examining the condition of the animal itself and the horse he/she will be riding upon, lol).

Nevertheless, to win money you must be willing to spend money and this is especially true when it comes to the thoroughbreds belonging to The Walt Disney Company and Disney Interactive. :piratemickey:

*Neighhh_mly (pun intended) and most important to you, breaking news has just come out of the gate as the mud from the track is flying about.

As a spectator, you reach for your binoculars but as the race nears the first turn on the track, your mind is "racing" with the thought of how it is all going to end.

As you watch, soon thereafter each thoroughbred rounds the second turn of the track (as your vision is affixed/homes in on the apparent 'jockeying' taking place).

As the race evolves closer to that finish line, the horse whom WINS is announced loudly over the p.a. system as the jockey proudly raises both hands upwards into their air (as if they were the ones responsible for much of the 'leg work').

As you anticipate confirmation of the name of the winner, you take one last glance towards the ticket you have been holding (the ticket also to which you had placed your bet upon) and it reads the name of your horse as..."FutureGamesTurnedIn2Toys."

UPDATE:

Club Penguin's Chris Heatherly ('waddler' of a duck whom took over Lane Merrifield's job [Merrifield being likely the only Disney executive whom supported POTCO, somewhat, as he did]) has officially left CP which begs the question...how long will it before The Mouse contemplates that CP should receive the ax as well? http://www.clubpenguin.com/whats-new/waddling

I guess it will be Sept 19th. The Mouse will clean house, and it will forever be known as "talk like a penguin day"

James Pitaro, long-time Disney Interactive "Co-President" (during POTCO's years), has jockey'd himself further ahead :hobbyhorse:onto the Disney (horse) race-track by leaving Disney Consumer Products Division and accepting the role as ESPN's new President.
This juke-of-a move puts Pitaro right back into his own comfort-zone given the fact that prior to Disney, Pitaro was head of Yahoo! Sports. (In other words, Disney Interactive/DIMG had placed at it's helm a jock-of-a-jockey into the saddle of DIMG's 'gaming' division during a time when Pirates of the Caribbean Online [and other Disney 'virtual-world' properties] rather needed someone highly apathetic/keenly aware of how MMO games impacted a player's own loyalty to a particular game.

*Pitaro's own role within DIMG/Disney always reminded me of that line within the childhood movie, "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory." In the movie, Wonka himself is overheard stressing this point to a child's parent that..."Candy is Dandy but, Liquor is Quicker!"
