Are ships broken?

I'm unable to launch my ship without instantly crashing. Anyone else having this issue? I tried many times but it always ended in a crash.

Edit #1. It's working now so I'm not sure what the issue was earlier today.

Most people don't have this issue from what I can tell. I would say the most likely case is that your computer can't quite handle it, which is mostly because the game still needs to be optimized.

Considering I have a gaming laptop, this shouldn't be the case. Hopefully this gets better in time.
