Please settle a discussion my fella pirates and I are having concerning completing the Black Pearl Quest. I say you have to captain the ship in order to complete the quest and get the leadership award.

Other pirates are saying you can complete the quest by just being on the crew.

Which is correct?

You just have to be in the crew. At least that is what made my quest disappear.

And on POTCO I know I never captained for the BP Battle; I stink too much at sailing.

In potco, you just had to be on the ship. I never sail, I would only cannon and it still counted. I would think this verison is the same.

I have a pirate I finished the quest with and I was just in crew not the captain. That has been a while. I don't know if it has changed. But it was always like that even in POTCO.

You do not have to be sailing the ship, rather being in the crew and being on a cannon will do.
