Broadsides damage - Ships

Does the damage depend on your cannon round shot?

Since broadsides are round shots, I assume it depends on your cannon skill level for round shots..

How much damage do broadsides take? Or is it different among characters?

To get strong broadsides, do this.
Max round shot.
Max barrage.
Max Shoot.
Max broadsides. (Both)
Get a round shot cannon ram (Steel Ram (Famed), or Iron Ram (rare) preferrably)
Max notoriety and cannon to deal more damage.
I did all of that and have iron ram and they do around eh 700 damage per hit, and critical sometimes to 2000.

Then broadsides should do more damage than normally, but if you do what is listed above they should do alot of damage.

That is actually as strong as they can get(with steel)...
