A couple suggestions for modification to chat, either soon or later down the road:
1) I thought that in POTCO, the list of friends online appeared in the chat.
Such a thing as.
Bob Jr. is online
Pirate Pete is online
appearing in the chat when you come on. It could be handy so you don't have to go open extra boxes to find out who is there, especially if you prefer friends list to stay open to guild list or such. The idea here is that you basically get a notification of which friends are online, just like current game news shows up in green when you initially log in.
2) I think it would be really handy if the game eventually had some sort of memory of chat, so if we're in middle of a discussion when we get dc'd, recent chat will pop up again when we return. Something like a working memory of like even 25 or 50 lines so we can pick up where we left off.
