CNN "The Sixties" Miniseries

Dreamcatcher

Honorable Pirate
This is probably the best thing on television at the moment, I have seen 4-5 sections on it so far, and it is the best produced show I have seen in years. The sixties were probably the most influential decade there ever was, and they literally cover every aspect of it. From the JFK assassination, the fight to end racial segregation, the ground breaking music that changed radio, to Vietnam, the Moon landing, and the Bay Of Pigs.

Amazingly informative for someone who wasn't there, and if you have children, you really should watch it with them, especially the racial aspect. Growing up after the fact, (and in Boston in my case) you cannot believe people could treat other Americans in that way. As the saying goes, "Those who do not learn from history, are doomed to repeat it." Sit yer kids down and give it a look, I'm told they don't teach a lot of this stuff in school anymore, which is a crime.
