Copperhead Upgrade

So I was planning on getting the copperhead upgrade and I noticed with rank 3 reinforced upgrade it gives me 150% on armor and I lose 4% when I get copperhead? I thought copperhead was all about armor I'd expect it to reduce turning or speed also I don't really get the design of the copperhead isn't it suppose to have a snake design or something?

The first copperhead upgrade takes off a small percentage of armor, but as you upgrade it further the percentage goes up a lot more.

Final copperhead gives 180% armor with a 15% chance of explosive. I think the 4% loss is till worth it.

I thought you could only get the first upgrade since 15% explosives is overpowered

Unless the tlopo team made changes to ship upgrades then you should be able to reach the 15%.
