That awkward sailing level for those who use cannons more on ships than sailing when your in your 20's.
If you procrastinate to level sail this worked for me and was 4-6 hours worth of devoted leveling to achieve this 100% solo. Leveling sail from 9-12. I did have the Father's Day bonus, but it was only for about an hour and 30 min I tryed to level grenades during the bonus also.
Get your headphones and your favorite tracks and head to a server that is low populated. the method is to strategically dismantle the sails, and have an idle target to earn extra skills by dismantling the ship. Your broadside ticks should be on 1-2 for this to work mathmatically and Open Fire +1, Come About +1, Rapid Fire And Recharge >+3,
Firebrand +2 , Lights +2, Chains +2.
The spot I was at was between Can and Spanish Island, beyond the French Island. The spawn was not aggressive and seemed to have a pretty good respawn rate, almost continual targets without searching for a spaced apart group.
Level of Skeleton ships 40-43
avg skill points per sink with method 195+
