Loot How to get better loot?

I was curious about how looting exactly works in TLOPO, since I am lvl 26 and currently have gotten 3 famed weapons, all of them being the Bejeweled Cutlass. I have gotten 2 of them from fishing and one from a loot skull chest on Padres. If there is any reason for why I can't seem to get much decent loot? I usually get commons and crude and the occasional mediocre rare.

It's all random. Just kill stuff Finding the good stuff isn't meant to be easy.

fish for 50 hours striaght like me. my inventory is full of famed and im not miserable at all T.T

I have been fishing for hours straight, in fact I'm fishing right now! But I have noticed that I've been getting better loot lately.
