this is what you do for IE:
- go to the internet menu bar, click TOOLS, and INTERNET OPTIONS
- in the BROWSING HISTORY section, click the DELETE button
- Be sure to uncheck the preserve favorite website box.
- Delete the TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES and COOKIES.
- Now click OK, and restart the browser.
