My Poem: The Elf on the Shelf (Enjoy!)

Out like a light.
All the children at night.
Awaiting St. Nick’s arrival.
He goes to each house.
And drops off gifts.
Only to good girls and boys.

For those who are naughty.
You may want to beware.
The mischievous elf on a shelf.
Will be there.
He waits until you’re asleep.
To strike.
And as you awake.
He will be there.
Giving you an evil grin and stare.

My cousin believes that if an elf on the shelf sees a child doing something really bad, and the parents don't know about it, the elf becomes possessed and attacks the kid until they tell their parents what they did. She has two elves on the shelf that watch her and she acts like a saint every December because shes afraid of them.

Your poem was very good. The second stanza really shows what must be going through some children's minds when they see that elf watching their every move.
