Nohr to Havana: Ch4: Wish....granted?

Alvis

Honorable Pirate
How many days has it been? Ten? Twelve? Try two hundred and seventy one. God knows how long Avales has been bedridden due to getting shot in the foot. Getting out and walking seems simple, but he cannot allow any bloodflow from his foot travel anywhere else in his body. That poison frog bullet was just good enough to keep him alive, yet have him feel the pain. Unfortunately, that's not all the hardship he has faced. Two maids have tried to murder him, and one nearly succeeded. She tried infecting the foot while Avale was asleep, but his Guildmaster and close friend, Lorea, had a quick eye and quickly ended the renegade's life. Lorea could not leave Avale's side due to his safety, and she owes him her life. Exactly a year to the day, the guild Deos des Mejores, had to drive off renegade pirates that were rebellious to the Five Archives. The Archives were made up of the five most influential guilds in the Caribbean, voted by pirates and Jolly Roger's generals (long story on how that diplomacy happened). Most middle guilds welcome the Archives, due to the wisdom and strength they have developed and are willing to share, in order to keep a sense of balance, while retaining as much strength as possible. As for the few that did not welcome, it turned bloody. Civil wars as to who to support, as well as full guilds challenging the hierarchy in the name of independence. (List of rebellious groups and Archives will be included later on) Among the rebellious groups, only one does so for a completely different reason. They will not tell anyone the reason, they will just attack and never give up. Unfortunatly for Avales, they are very sharp shooters and know well of substances in the Caribbean. But, the time for Avales to get up is now, for if he and his guild do not act soon, then the Archives could suffer a major loss that cannot be afforded.

Except, there is only one problem: he has no guild. The only surviving members of the guild joined the renegades in their quest for some sort of freedom. And also, why did Satou save his life in the caves? Even so, how? Avales was a split second away from contracting his finger to fire the pistol, and one simple shot from Satou made him motionless. "Nerve attackers," Satou said, reading his mind. "Little pain. Big effect." He wasn't very keen on his English. Ever since Japan shut themselves away from the world, Satou and his crew abandoned the archipelago, and found their way to the west coast of America. They then traveled on foot, repelling the Natives, towards the Gulf of Mexico. There, they found a small Native village, and the friendly village sold their largest boat to them. Every guild is told of their accomplishments everyday, as inspiration to loot or ransack a town. Satou is known as the most intelligent and powerful leader in the world. Even the British respect his presence and obey his orders. But the weird thing is, he was one of the renegades. Why did he save his life? "You not a bad person. You brave. You did not deserve that type of death." It was like he could read minds. His five guildmembers (yes, FIVE) had no idea what was going on, they could not speak a hint of English. "We run from battle. Your guild, they attack leader. We do not like betrayal." Those three sentences with broken English answered Avale's question. They have honor over freedom. Satou spoke to his guildmembers in fluent Japanese, and they left. He then turned to Avale. "I know what happen. Your friends, they betray too. I saw you in cave. You need to trust in yourself more than others. Everyone's biggest obstacle is them self. What you go through, everyone else goes through in their life. It's how we react to our situation is what defines us. You had passion for your guild. That passion drove you to madness. Take that passion, and store it in you. You can make your wishes come true, good or bad. You are a great talent. Use it, and save mankind." Avale could not help but stare at the man. Satou left without another word, and Avale climbed out of bed, shaking from his lack of strength. Satou was right. He had to get his life, and the world straightened out now, or else all humanity will be going the wrong way throughout history.

NOTE: The names are NOT modeled after any pirate, just purely out of my imagination. They are not to be taken seriously in the actual game. Five Archives will be names first, then the supporters (3), then the renegades (4)
