Yes. It works for all weapons, notoriety and I believe potions and fishing.

Tried to get it again on the second day, hopefully could trick the configuration, but no luck ... - sighs -
I wish it would reset on the following day and allow us to redo the quest over and over, so that I could finish leveling up my 'beloved' grenades ...
