nah nah nah there only good for fighting multiple enemies but they dont do as much damage as cutlasses there good for leveling and looting but thats it

They are good for leveling and looting and that is it? LOL

Hmm well I level and loot and I'm pretty sure most other pirates do too so they are a pretty useful weapon.
