Question Repeater pistols

I'm still pretty low skill on shooting but with initial attack rating of 3 on the 'repeaters' I have found, I'm not seeing that they will be worthwhile. They are 'level required' over my head so I cannot test them. Anyone have an educated opinion of repeaters at different skill ranges?

can you speak to the issue of the attack number? Do the better ones list a higher "attack"?

the higher the level of them, the higher the attack is. repeater pistols will always have a low attack relative to other gun types because they can fire very quickly. Attack number is important but what really matters are the specific boosts the weapon has. Thats what puts a weapon like Seven Seas Repeater, a weapon with 39 attack, over every other weapon in the game.

It should also be noted that due to how experience is currently calculated, the three shots from a Repeater Pistol are going to garner more Reputation per enemy kill as opposed to something like a Blunderbuss which typically one shots your opponents.
