This is something that always bugged back in PotCo, the War Ships are not able to operate at their full potential.
- The War Frigate has it the worst out of all three ships, one of this ships advantages when compared to the brig and galleon is that you give up some broadside strength for on deck cannons. This ship has slightly less broadsides than a brig, but has 14 on deck cannons which is supposed to make up for the lack of broadsides. However the Frigate has the same crew size as a Brig, which means at best it can only have 11 people on cannons and 1 person on the helm, which is exactly the same as the brig, except for the brig will still have extra broadsides. (Crew size should be increased to 15)
- The War Galleon has 10 crew member slots and 10 on deck cannons, this means that you wont ever be able to operate all the cannons once you include the captain on the helm. There will be one empty cannon. (Crew size should be increased to 11)
- The War Brig has the exact same issue the Galleon has, 12 crew member slots and 12 on deck cannons. (Crew size should be increased to 13)
