Lets say I make my war brig Storm chaser and War Frigate Copperhead instead, would I have to downgrade back to streamliner then up my frigate to Reinforced or can I change my war frigate to firestorm and keep going up to copperhead?

You can side-grade, however storm chaser and copperhead are as far from each other as it gets. It might actually end up costing you more to side-grade. I'm not sure, not gonna work it out right now because mobile. You can see the prices for everything in the wiki. When I get home (like a day from now) I might figure it out for you just because I'm interested haha.

My suggestion? Go bump my thread for more ship slots instead. Keep your storm frigate and see if you can get a whole 'nother frigate >.>
