Luna Storm

Forum Mod
I wanted to make a post about my pirate Luna Storm and her character so people who read this will feel like they know her a little even though they have never met before and I then I came up with the idea to start a thread so others can post what people should know about their in game pirates :)

So I will start...

Things you should know about Luna Storm.

On land

  • Luna does most of her land/boss/El Patron looting and weapon levelling alone on a quiet server like Marineros. But she is more than happy to join others when invited.
  • If someone else is taking on the enemy Luna was after she will move on and find another rather than inconvenience them or she will ask if its ok. Manners cost nothing :)

On public ships

  • She will ALWAYS follow the captains orders as a crew member should.
  • If she gets on a public ship with less than 15-20 minutes left she will not ask the captain to port on her account as it's not fair on the captain and his/her crew, but she will try to jump back on ship after renewing her playtime if it's ok with the captain and crew.
  • Even though she is mastered on cannon and has max skill points on fury and lightning shot she will refrain from using them on anything other than battleships. Unless the situation calls for a quick sink.

On Luna's ship
  • When Luna opens her ship to the public. Almost all of the time she will have her first-mate and crew leader Rascal on-board, who will crew others and take the wheel if I dc (if it sinks she can blame him ;)) The advantage here is that Luna and Rascal operate from the same room and instead of Luna typing and putting the ship at risk she can tell Rascal what to type to the crew.
  • She will close the ship to public when the ship reaches around 7-8 crew members (enough to fill all cannons on one side) but will leave it open for crew at all times. This is because of her sailing strategy..she prefers to keep to the same side so that her crew can concentrate on getting those good shots on the enemy rather than spending most of their time running across the deck. Of course sometimes it is not possible to stick to that particular side and then she will ask to switch and stick to that side as long as she can.
  • When Luna calls for repairs she expects as many of her crew as possible to do so. The more there are repairing the faster everyone can get back to sinking ships. She avoids taking on any more damage while repairs are being done and keeps away from enemy ships...again. The faster the ship is repaired the faster everyone gets back to plundering, savvy?
  • Generally Luna is quite good at avoiding regular damage so that repairs wont take up her crews valuable plundering time. But of course..Sometimes you get caught out.
IMPORTANT: Luna Storm owns a Fortune Hunter IV (soon V) war brig which has a lot of cargo space to fill up with goodies, so if you are going to board her ship make sure you have a minimum 39 minutes (preferably 45) of game time to spend on board.
If you however are going to renew you playtime straight away she will happily wait for your return so you can receive your well earned loot.

If she and her crew are only 15-25 minutes into the run and you want her to dock it is very unlikely she will. This is a situation Luna hates as she feels empathy for the pirate who cant re log immediately but as a captain she wants to give her hard working crew the biggest haul possible and lets face it..its a risk you take getting on a ship with 24 cargo hold with only 15-20 minutes playtime to go. Sorry.

Many have commented on the great gold (I believe gold amount also depends on your notoriety lvl? correct me if I'm wrong) and loot/mats they have received slugging a long run on her ship and gone out again. Luna has got treasure sense 5 and a famed sea charm that adds another 3 (sea charms are currently not working)

To some she may seem too demanding of a captain. Watch some pirate movies...No notorious captain lets their crew be lazy. All need to keep a tight ship and bark out orders to sink the enemy ships while keeping your own afloat. And afterwards... Plunder and grog for all!!
Maybe to others she is just what they look for in a captain.

END
I hope there wasn't too many typos or (very likely) terrible grammar. If so I apologise. My fingers were trying to keep up with the speed of my brain lol

So who's next?
I'm really looking forward to reading about the wonderfully varied personalities and characters that share the same horizon we all sail regularly! :)

Things you should know about Remington O'Morgan:

Remington has been crafted to be a LOT like me in real life. From his appearance down to his preferences, attitude and outlook on things.

On Land:

Remington loves to quest. He has gone well out of his way to check nearly every nook and cranny of the Caribbean for people who need his expertise in solving their problems. Remington considers undead to be an abomination and strives to destroy them wherever they cross his path. He usually adventures alone but is quick to stop what he is doing to help another. He can sometimes be found adventuring with Grace O'Morgan, who is his beloved. Remington will FIERCELY defend the underdog or someone who is being abused, used or is ill treated. Remington can NOT STAND bullies, fools or ill-mannered thugs.

On Public Ships:

Remington very rarely boards public ships. The exception to this is if someone is in need and has personally invited him aboard to assist. All of Remington's skill sets are mastered and so he is effective in helping friends who ask for help. Remington is quick to follow instructions such as repairing or targeting specific vessels.

On Remington's Ship:

Remington never sets his ship to public, preferring to sail alone, with friends or with guild mates. He captains a tier 5 armor/skull and crossbones war frigate and is half-way to tier 6 currently. Other vessels he owns are tier 3 or 4 respectfully but he prefers his frigate. Remington is a skilled captain who has the outlook of... "If you don't take damage, then no one needs to leave a cannon to fix anything." Normally he will only need to call for repairs on the way back to port. Occasionally an unfortunate situation occurs where the vessel is damaged half-way through a run, but friends are quick to make repairs with little prodding.

Remington's Personality:

Remington O'Morgan is VERY easy going. He doesn't take life too seriously... After all, no one gets out alive.......... (As with me in real life), Remington's family disowned him long before he became a pirate, finding fault in petty things and deciding he wasn't worth the effort. While this might have made Remington bitter and angry, it instead filled him with a desire to help others... especially the abused and downtrodden... so that they wouldn't have to suffer as he has. Remington fiercely defends his few friends, who are like family to him, now that his own has rejected him. Remington belongs to a relatively small guild of very close friends who think of each other more like family than anything else. If you see him around the Caribbean, be sure to stop him and say hello! There is still plenty of room on his friend's list. :)

Good fortune and safe travels, 'til next we meet!

Things you should know about SkyKiwi

General
  • Prefers the name Kiwi over Sky - that's what the puppeteer controlling him goes by anyway!
  • The name is a combination of being from New Zealand (the people there are referred to as Kiwi, their national bird), and that despite Kiwis cannot fly, I can and do anyway.
  • It is very difficult to make him angry. If he sounds angry, there's a good chance he's not.
  • SkyKiwi's biggest pet peeve is pirates teleporting to him without asking first. It is immensely rude, like walking into someone's room without knocking. The first time he will simply ask you not to do so.
On Land
  • SkyKiwi does not do land stuff much at all.
  • Finds all forms of land combat tedious.
  • Occasionally found at Tormenta or Darkhart, but without engaging conversation he cannot last more than 20 minutes without succumbing to the urge to get back on the sea.
  • SkyKiwi does not understand pirates who do not enjoy sailing. At all. Though he is generally a very understanding pirate, the mindset of these landlubbers baffles him greatly.
At Sea, General
  • Despises "cluster sailing" on Abassa, but has recently gone to the darkside due to a staggering need for metal materials (and ludicrously terrible luck in obtaining them)
  • Generally prefers to sail his own ship, though less so on Abassa.
  • Has a fierce pride at once being on the top 25 "PvE sailing" leaderboard in POTCO (under a different name)
  • Has done far too much research into a lot of things, especially hull upgrade firepower.
At Sea, Public Ships
  • Due to max cannon level, will often forfeit being on cannon to allow other crew members to utilize them. Especially in Abassa where ships fill often, this leaves SkyKiwi with nothing to do but stand on a repair spot waiting for damage. This is fine, however, as his puppeteer likes to watch TV in these cases.
  • Repairs come before gunning, unless an opportunity presents itself to sink the assailing ship before it can deal any more damage.
  • Typically prefers the cannons closest to the wheel. In the event of the captain crashing, SkyKiwi will be in prime position to take the wheel and hopefully save the ship.
  • Due to his significant love of, and time spent sailing, SkyKiwi can often "backseat pilot" the ship, giving advice to the captain even when unasked. He is only trying to be helpful, and often feels absolutely terrible about it afterwards. So he is sorry in advance.
At Sea, Personal Ship
  • Everyone is welcome aboard the silver fleet!
  • Doesn't believe in level based discrimination. I will never ask a new pirate to leave, give up a cannon, or do anything different, based on their level. If a level 50 lost his cannon to a level 3, too bad!
  • Gladly lets other people sail his ship, and loves to teach people how to captain effectively. Though he can be a little jumpy about certain situations, because:
  • None of his ships have ever been sunk in PvE. They have come close a couple times, and many more if you include bugs/crashes/etc. But at the time of this post, SkyKiwi has never lost a ship outside SvS, and carries a foolhardy pride as a result.
  • Believes in crew cardio. Enemy hunters/warships will often prefer certain sides, and a ship that gives them those sides will often sink them much faster. As a result, crews on SkyKiwi's ship often switch sides a lot - no sticking to one side for him! This has the added benefit of playing "musical chairs" with cannons, allowing pirates left out to have a chance against the next ship.
  • In spite of the above, SkyKiwi still usually closes the ship once enough crew members are on board to take up one side of cannons.
  • Always gives disconnecting/crashing crew members a chance to return before porting. Typically until they are auto-removed from the crew, which is plenty of time. Will often try to friend you after you crash so you can get back on board.
And many more things I've forgotten!

  • If she gets on a public ship with less than 15-20 minutes left she will not ask the captain to port on her account as it's not fair on the captain and his/her crew, but she will try to jump back on ship after renewing her playtime if it's ok with the captain and crew.

Speaking as a captain, you should always let us know if your playtime is ending - especially if you were there early on. Not to ask us to port, but so we know why you DC'd and how long you'll be. A simple "14 minutes" or even "1 minute" will suffice. If you helped get that cargo on board, you can be darn sure any captain worth his salt will gladly wait the couple minutes it takes to get back on board!

Things you should know about Remington O'Morgan:
On Remington's Ship:

... a tier 5 armor/skull and crossbones war frigate ...

Also @Remington the hull you had before Skull and Bones is irrelevant. The stats for your ship will be the same regardless of if you took the route of reinforced or cargo. Upgrading is more like trading in your ship, with extra funds, for a newer model.

Things you should know about Rouhan:
  • In General
Rouhan is a very friendly pirate and will not hesitate to accept or send out a friend request to all pirates he meets in the Caribbean! Rouhan will also welcome you back into the game (guild and friends) , regardless if you have just disconnected and reconnected. Rouhan is always down to help others and enjoys a good joke.

Rouhan is the kind of pirate who enjoys questing because helping people is in his nature. If you have been defeated and Rouhan is nearby, Rouhan will definitely come to revive you unless he has run out of tonics. Rouhan does not like pirates who put down other pirates or is mean to other pirates.

Rouhan loves PvP even though he is not very good at it and will always thank the person he is against before the match ends and he crashes. Rouhan does not type very fast so please bear with him!

  • On Land
Rouhan will barely stand around! This is because Rouhan is mostly questing and has barely any time to do anything else. Rouhan's preferred weapon on land is the sword and will wipe out anything in his way! Rouhan does not have a favorite server but you can find him around on Abassa most of the time.

Rouhan's favorite island is Padres del Fuego because he likes the way it erupts every hour, and just likes fire in general. If you happen to see a wild Rouhan and he doesn't stop to say a quick hi, then you know it's an imposter! Rouhan is in the guild 'Masters N Skulls' and he loves it there!

If you ask Rouhan for something, he will check his priorities then get back to you. Rouhan is a very punctual pirate, and so prefers to keep everything scheduled so he can enjoy the game to the max. Rouhan is also always in a need for gold and for pine, so if you have both, don't be shy to donate! :p

You may find Rouhan at a boss, but that's either for healing or moral support of his freinds or guildmates who are at the bosses. Rouhan's favorite boss is the infamous General Bloodless ;)

  • On Sea (Public)
When Rouhan joins a public ship, he will first greet everyone then proceed onto asking for a crew. Then, after careful evaluation of the situation, Rouhan will either head for a repair station or a cannon. Rouhan thoroughly enjoys repairs and prefers to keep ships at full health, regardless of who owns it.

Rouhan will never ask the captain to port, and doesn't mind when you port without him. When Rouhan exits the ship to obtain more ammo (in the case that he has run out), Rouhan will tell the captain to port without him if he must. Rouhan will always teleport to a privateer island to stock up on ammo for cannons.

Rouhan will always be polite on public ships, ensuring to compliment the ship when he first boards. Rouhan always loves to make conversation and meet new people. Rouhan will also use his good ammo on any ships, without second doubts.

  • On Sea (Private)
Rouhan owns a War Sloop with level 1 streamlined and level 1 offensive rigging. He bought the ship on the 20th of August 2017, marking his first War Ship, ever. When you board Rouhan's ship (if he opens it to public) He will first greet you, crew you then ask if you would like to steer, because Rouhan is a hopeless sailor.

Rouhan will make sure that his crew is happy before he is happy and will happily port whenever they ask. Most runs lead by Rouhan will end up with each crew member getting 2,500 gold or more, and Rouhan often forgets that 'Open Fire' has recharged so uses it at the random-est of times.

Rouhan doesn't require you to repair his ship until it is in really bad condition and prefers to get it repaired by the professionals ;). Rouhan is not very attentive to which port is open while on a mat run so the crew informing him on which port is open is heavily appreciated. Rouhan uses the skill 'ramming speed' to obtain speed and escape if necessary.

This may be mad but Rouhan likes to solo a lot because it really gets the adrenaline pumping.

  • Conclusion
Rouhan loves to be in the caribbean so if you spot him, don't be shy to say hello!

I sooo hope to meet you guys in game!! You are so lovely and I just never see you.
It's so unfortunate that timezones exist. Also I'm still hoping to find Grace OMallie ( I think that's right) in game to friend <3
I think you're pretty awesome too! I would love to meet up in-game sometime also and get you on my friend's list! Rouhan and Grace O'Maille are just awesome people and I am very fond of them! As soon as things settle down here a bit, maybe we can private message a little and find a good time to meet up. Until then, Good fortune and safe travels, 'til next we meet!

Going for stormchaser or firestorm?

You say you're a "hopeless sailor"? Well if at any point you want to gain a little confidence, I'd love to give you some pointers if you like! You're welcome to sail any of my beautiful ships, too! I've got a War Storm Sloo~oop!

What you should know about Andromidus.

He is WAY better at soloing against hunters. ( He seems to take much more damage with a crew!)
He has a very slight sense of humor.
He is usually serious, unless he's joking.
He is actually from the Milky Way Galaxy
TacoDoge in space has no affiliation with Andromidus.
He is secretly a fan of the Royal Navy. (Don't tell anyone!)
He doesn't say much about himself. (Tries to keep the "Mysterious and silent guy" vibe.)
Lastly, Andromidus can be found on Abassa. On rare occasions, he has been spotted on Tortuga.

Edit: He also adds things at the last moment.
Also warms up to people rather slowly, but with time will talk your ear off.

I'm with Kiwi... We haven't have a chance to meet up in-game yet but... There are NO hopeless sailors. That would be ye noggin' playin' tricks on ye! So down another rum and remember that every ship sunk gleans experience in tactics and patterns... In time you'll have every bounty hunter turning tail and running from your mastery! haha! Things you should know about Jack James Cannonskull

On Land: Jack can be found just about anywhere. He ventures through many islands doing various tasks. He can be found on Abassa Tortuga flipping a coin or recruiting for his guild every now and then. He is often with his friend @Hector Shipwrecker doing roleplay all throughout islands on the Valor server. He can also be found looting in the Gold Room on Tormenta or South Idol on Ravens Cove.
At Sea: Jack prefers to be on land but he can be found every once in a while on public ships that are doing mat runs. He has a Fortune Hunter IV War Brig and when he sails he is almost always either doing a mat run or its just roleplay.
Other: Jack really enjoys roleplay, he does it whenever he gets the chance. Whether it be with The British in Countries roleplay, with his friend @Hector Shipwrecker in their roleplay or just on an island with others he enjoys roleplaying. He does not take things in roleplay seriously, he just does it for fun, meaning if he was your enemy in roleplay he has nothing against you out of roleplay of course.
When not in roleplay Jack stands for right and fights against what is evil.

Here's what you should know about Mood Rock:
Mood Rock is a solid aggregate of one or more minerals or mineraloids. Mood Rock used to change colors, but is now only one color: gray. Mood Rock doesn't know if it's spelled gray or grey. Mood Rock also wants to have the other colors that were lost back. Mood Rock likes to start sentences with "Mood Rock." Mood Rock is repetitive. Mood Rock refers to Mood Rock in the third person, or with I and me. As an inanimate object, Mood Rock doesn't know how Mood Rock has the ability to think and the ability to type.
Sorry if this was boring, so I found something more entertaining: math.
Bonus Fact: I like confusing math. It makes my geode brain function.

Everything you know is a lie, but all those lies are nothing. So by using the transitive property we can conclude that everything = nothing and if you add an integer (x) into the equation we can single anything out and turn it into a certain amount of nothing explained by this graph e = everything n = nothing

As you can see, at a certain point of everything, nothing cannot exist.

Things you should know about Nikkii.

  • I am not a fan of using the doll, staff and sailing
  • I help anyone who asks for my help also I offer other pirates help
  • Frustrated because the skull chests area awful in my opinion

On public ships
  • I do love using the cannon
  • I repair even when I am lagging so much... Probs not much use then :'( running at 2-5 fps LOL
  • I use public ships a lot

On Nikkii's ship
As you probs already figured out this gal isn't a sailor :impatient:
  • I am currently level 7... don't judge haha :coffee:
  • I own a sloop
  • I don't even bother ticking public and guild on cause I only use it to sail to islands
  • I only sail when I really have to such as I have to complete a quest... But at times I asked for someone's help, I despise sailing as it is and the lag makes the experience much worse :scream:
  • Prepare to lose all the cargo, skulls, mats and treasure when setting sail with me :lol1:

Nikkii's Personality
  • Nikkii keeps to herself and is a loner unfortunately
  • I would say Nikkii has a nice smile and has a big heart
  • People take her the wrong way at times when she is just being nice
  • she has had a very tough childhood but now with a loving partner who appreciates her more than anything
  • Nikkii doesn't tolerate rudeness and disrespectfulness
  • Noticed people are nicer in games than in reality
  • Nikkii appreciates her pirate friends a lot
Ps. I am a fighter not a sailor XD :pirate duel:

pps. say hello if you see me around on tlopo :oh hi:
