Suggestion Update without playtime

I don't know if it is done because of hardware limitations but I find it rather annoying that you cannot log on without play time just to update so you have to waste the time you set aside for the game waiting you your client to update. Any chance a feature might be added that allows you to log on and update but not launch the client. perhaps a 2 stage launcher like swtor has. where you could get to the first screen any time but only click play if you have a play slot
 
This has already been suggested somewhere and although it is a good idea I frankly think that updates don't take longer than 10 minutes and even with a playtime it shouldn't delay it that bad.
