Question Will there ever be story/level extension for level 50 players?

Title basically is the tl;dr but to go more indepth, will/do you think there's gonna be a new level cap for level 50+ players? Like extending the cap to level 60, etc- Honestly it just feels like whenever you reach max on your weapons and pirate at that point it's just grinding out legendaries and brights just for the sake of collecting.
 
It'll certainly be nice to have a story/level extension in the future especially since i already have one level 50 character and one character that's a work in progress. Can't imagine myself making four more characters and leveling them as well.
