You and I - A poem

This is my first decent poem. Warning: it's kinda deep. Enjoy.

You and I
You have been my friend.
I have been yours.
We have been friends.
Together.

You were great.
I was dumb.
We spent time.
Together.

We walked.
You and
I talked.
Together.

I now think more of
You than a friend.
We belong,
Together

I don't know if
You feel the same.
We, You and I,
Together?

You will never see the poem
I wrote but why can't
We be
Together?

You have a boyfriend.
I know that.
We can't be
Together.

I know your boyfriend is a jerk.
You know it too.
We know so,
Together.

I don't get why,
You still like him.
We are both confused.
Together.

You cry.
I cry.
We cry for different reasons.
Together.

I know you are perfect.
You deserve better.
We deserve each other,
Together.

That is a very good poem, Bart. Unfortunately, tragically good. I hope things work out someday, patience has a way of rewarding people. Bravery too, as it takes guts to bare ones soul to everyone, especially for a pirate. Keep em coming!
