is Fortune Hunter war brig worth it?

Favorite ship combo in the game hands down. 1000%. Driving a frigate after my FH war brig causes me to projectile vomit all over the deck.
 
The firepower stinks, but it is really handy. Personally, I prefer high damage because mats/hr > cargo capacity. That's just me though. I've sailed my friend's Fortune Hunter war brig, and I can say that it handles like a dream. Very pleasant to steer. Basically, you are continuing on with the theme of "second best at everything" and upgrading that aspect, which works well with brigs. They are quite compatible.

Also, until the day comes where they install gas pedals on ships, I won't see 'driving' as an acceptable term. Come on cobra guy..
