New Servers!

If there is rollbacks I expect a day-long Jacksbrew, automatically rank 7 in PvP, AUTOMATICALLY lv 50, (i'm only two levels away but im too lazy xD) and a legendary cursed weapon of my choice.. :D!

They had a major network breakdown in the West Coast, I think, that was beyond Disney's control. Please look at Davy's post: https://piratesforums.co/threads/disneys-potc-customer-rep.1563/#post-26009

Then because of those"2 fateful weeks of roll backs", we received 14-day of free membership. And I asume, since they realized how much work it required to maintain those many servers, they took away some of them. So it was a roll back first, then they took away the oceans. I could be wrong, but that's the logical explanation.

Ok, I have a letter that I received from Disney in response to my questioning their decision to take away some of the Oceans. I sent them a bug report asking them why they took the Oceans away on 2/7/2011. They sent me a reply on 2/9/2011. Davy's responses are dated 2/17/2011. So I think they took away the Oceans, then they had the roll backs. Make sense?
 
Yes, according to your info. I wasn't aware that you had sent a bug report prior to that breakdown (or I just plain forgot it). What did NOT make sense to me is why they took away some of the servers. Because apparently according to Davy, the breakdown on Disney's side may NOT have anything to do with the network failure in the West Coast (reading from his posts up there that I quoted again). I would think that they would have taken down some servers due to the major breakdown and the work load that they would have to put in to recover 'all' servers. But I guess not ... they already took them away due to cost (probably) and effectiveness (probably - man power allocations, time, thus also cost and the more stuff they had to maintain, the more headache they caused them). Then those servers removal caused a major breakdown? Smart, very smart ... :rolleyes:

So, whatever info you found out, Star, I'll take your words for it. ;)
