Hey everyone,

As you may already know, since the recent connectivity issues started, many players have reported that items are missing from their inventories. We have identified the issue and decided that it is best to rollback the game’s database to yesterday (8/29) at 11:59am EDT. This will be occurring tonight (8/30) at around 9 or 10pm EDT. We understand that this may be an inconvenience, but it is the best possible course of action to ensure that everyone’s game is back to normal. Expect dozens of server enhancements in the coming weeks.

Thanks for your patience, and happy sailing!

Hey everyone, just an update!

We identified the cause of the outage. It appears we went through another bout of growing pains! Our database was at max capacity (or almost to it) so we allocated a bit more storage space to it. We also went through with the rollback, as explained above. We're opening the servers to everyone! Please let us know if you see any oddities or experience any issues.

Thanks for everyone's patience during this time. We really appreciate it.

The Legend of Pirates Online will be closing down for extended server maintenance related to the release of Open Beta. This update is expected to take a few days. In this thread, we will keep you updated throughout our maintenance detailing exactly what we are doing as we complete it.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Most of the web servers are configured and online. API is still offline.

The operating systems are installed with networking configured on all shards.

Oh, it's worth noting that all servers have received an upgrade.
Also, Abassa is running on 250% more server resources than previously.
Andaba is running on 175% more resources than previously, and all other districts are running on 140% more resources.

All 16 shards are up and running! Time to start our initial (internal only) testing of the new infrastructure. We're ahead of schedule!

I figure I should also clarify our schedule too. This downtime is only to prepare the new infrastructure for Open Beta. We're pretty much almost done at this point, though we will need to work out any kinks (if any) with the new setup. The servers WILL be online WELL before September 19. When the 19th rolls around, the extra districts will be brought back online.

We're aware of some of the issues players are having logging into the game. These issues lie within our client interface servers. We've found that some of them have been going offline or locking up. We will be continuing to look into solutions to this problem. For now, we recommend that if you get a "could not connect" error, keep clicking "OK" until it lets you in.
