ok heres some new pictures.it wont let me post all at once
OMG! I'm highly impressed! I agree with Kate ... You just accelerated to suddenly go several levels higher (if there were classes). I really love some of them. My favorite is of course the last one. You just 'framed' that background cleverly, and your focus was on the right spot.
Among the bunches, here are my favorites (almost all of them):
- All the tree trunks that you took facing the sky (0719, 0727, 0736): they were so dramatic, showing how tall the tree was and how far away we were from the sky.
- All shots from under the big leaves (0717 & 0734): I saw there were ants on the first one, but for some reason, the second one had the 'perfect' shape of leaves. And it was so pretty! (I could imagine this one on a nature calendar already).
- 0732 ... was that another tree trunk? Genious angle, a very good eye! It's so unsual, that you practically 'played' with the viewer's emotion here. I felt like running down on a slide and was about to fall down following the direction of that trunk.
Worthy to comment on:
- Tree stump (0713): I could see now that you found a more interesting stump, that actually had some wild fungi growing on it and a little sprout of leaves. Very good. Try to bring your angle down (kneel down while you are taking the pic, almost the same height as the trunk), close it up in the wild fungi, and blur everything else around it. It will be more dramatic.
- Meadow of leaves (0744): Looked like just leaves, but repetition like this (that covered almost the entire area of photo) could be kind of dramatic. Ppl usually like to capture a meadow of yellow wild daisies or any other colorful flowers.
- 0739 ... was 'intriquing' to me. I'm not sure what that was (a hole on the trunk), but it was interesting.
- The rest of them are pretty good as well.
Well done, Corey, I love them all. Follow that passion and you'll work for the National Geographic one day!
Here are my favorites:
- Cascading stream (# 0763): The cascade looks pretty and the stream zig sags a little bit. Also, there was not too much 'trash'/mulch around it so it looks clean. # 0761 has a pretty cascade but the mulch around it was a little too much. Of course you don't want to alter nature to much for your photography purpose, but if there was too much mulch, it became a distraction to the stream itself.
- 0766: That one group of mulch on the left was a distraction, while the stream and 'waterfall' themselves were pretty.
- Trees: I love them all, but my favorite is still #0775; very dramatic.
- 0777: GREAT job! Very interesting angle, it's just beautiful. My pick for the nature calendar.
- Between 0770 and 0772: That was a very interesting branches of stream. It's not your fault that the 'environment' of them is not very 'organized'. But had it be a little more organized, the theme would be beautiful.
Great job, Corey!
