REMINDER
Tomorrow, Sunday, August 7 at 12:10 pm EST is the deadline to decide "when" we are going to have this event. If there is any discussion, please speak up now and post a message below. Otherwise, based on the poll as of right now, the event would take place on Saturday, August 13 at 5 pm EST (4 pm Central, 3 pm Mountain, 2 pm PST) - all USA time zones.
A GLIMPSE TO THE ACTIVITIES ...
We would like to introduce the organizers of Pirates Forums End of Summer Party:
Jade O'Hayes, John Foulroberts and Basil Darkratte
Any announcement from any of them is an official announcement for the party.
The entire event will be recorded for a video.
Fortune collection:
Raven's Cove will be one of the places of activity. Please be thinking of a special outfit to wear, since we are going to take a few group screenshots. Be thinking about a short but unique personal quote that you might want to say on the event, and be ready to play word lingo. This block of activities include swimming, mine raiding and looting at Foulberto Smasho.
Crew competition:
A pirate Triathlon that will include solving riddles, running, sailing and swimming as a team with your crew. Be ready to crew up and have a war frigate for each crew. Crews have to report to three posts, where 3 Referees are waiting with riddles and assignments. Triathlon will start at Tortuga Dock with a riddle to solve, then running across Tortuga island twice. After another riddle to solve, crews will launch their ships to sprint to Outcast Isle. A third riddle will be waiting on crews' arrival, followed by swimming around the isle. Upon reporting on its completion, the crews will be dispatched to sail to the final destination at Raven's Cove. This is a group competition between crews; whether those are guild crews or random crews. The first crew reaches the destination at Raven's Cove wins the competition.
Pirating fun:
A raid to King's Arm bar where pirates are free to do what they enjoy doing, whether that is to have a fight, play poker or black jack or just chit chatting. Be ready to have your best poses for the camera.
For you who have not voted for your favorite activities, please don't forget to voice your opinion! Be sure to answer the poll before the deadline on Thursday, August 11 at 12:10 pm EST.

The majority of you voted YES! So we are going to make this event happen.
We'll meet here, on the bridge in between the elevator and the mines itself. If you do not have access to the mines yet, please teleport to somebody that does.

***Crew Arrangement***
We would like to know who actually will attend the event, so that we can have a head count on how many people there are on each crew. Post below if you think you can come. After we have a rough head count, the next step will be an announcement of the crew registration.

What To Know:
Riddle 1
Teams will meet up on Tortuga's Dock. Remember to be in your crews, with the colored shirts on*. This is where Riddle number one will be given. After you read the Riddle, you will talk about the answer in crew chat. Once you find the answer. Your Crew Leader Will Whisper to me the Answer. If its right, I say, "Team Red, you answer is... correct!" That's when you will run around Tortuga two times before meeting up with the 2nd Ref shown in red.
However, If you should get it wrong, I'll say. 'Red Team, your answer is... Incorrect! Try again!' You will only have three tries to get it right. If you don't get it right you and your team will have a Ten Second Penalty before you can move on. If your Crew Leader wants to 'give up' before the three tries, you will also get the Ten Second Penalty. Keep in mind, the "Give Up" option can only be used if you guess the riddle at least once.
Riddle 2
This is where you'll meet Ref #2. (John) When he gives you the Riddle. Everything that has been said about Riddle is in Riddle one above. Once you get it right, Board your Crew leader ship ONLY The Ship will be a War Frigate. Sail all the way to Outcast where Ref # 3 (Jade) and Ref #1 (Basil) will be waiting.
Riddle 3
Once you get to Outcast, go to Ref #3 ( Jade) and she'll give you the Riddle, get it right, and swim around Outcast NO SHORT CUTS After swimming around Outcast meet me, To get the' Go' to go to the final leg of the Race: To sail all the way to Ravens Cove and to get to the Bar where John will be waiting to end the Event.
Rules
Only Crew leader can whisper the answer of the riddles to Refs.
In order to get to the next leg of the race. The Whole crew will have to be there.**
- After 3 possible tries to answer a riddle or after the crew leader gives up giving an answer, the entire crew will be subject to 10 seconds penalty before continuing to the next part of the race.
- No cheating, when everybody in the crew has to run, swim or sail, no tp-ing. This Also means NO SWIFT FOOT!!! Any player using Swift Foot is out. And the Team will have a Ten Second Penalty
- Sailing is not meant for sinking ships, unless absolutely necessary to fight back attack. Sinking ships will not give the crew extra time on the race.
* The Teams would be based on the number of players coming. You need to be in a team color: Red, Blue, White, etc. All you have to do is to buy a shirt in the shop to be on the team. ( More Details Later)

Also If you get DC, while racing you can come back online, but you won't be able to race - your team cannot stop.
If you find at anytime you must leave the race, like your time on the Computer is up, Just tell a Ref, and your name will be taken off the list. There will be no penalty for leaving.

What time is it NOW in your area? It is 5:43 pm EST in the USA. We are currently on Daylight Savings time, meaning that we are one hour ahead of what we are supposed to (to save energy during Spring-Summer time).

We would like to welcome friends to PiratesForums Members to the Event.
We do not want to be an exclusive club; we would like to be inclusive, meaning that we would like to involve all our friends to celebrate our events. We would like other pirates to know what a great community we are!
However, on a crew competition, there are arrangements to be made with friends of our Forums Members.
***Rules for Inviting Friends to the Event***
Forums members who invite friends from outside the Forums are to follow these rules:
- Forums Members are encouraged to let the friends know about the rules of the game and the other general rules of kindness (be polite, be nice and follow the rules).
- Forums Members are responsible to introduce the friends to the other Forums Members.
- Forums Members are responsible to crew friends or find a crew for them, and inform the Referees that they are joining the Crew competition and how many they are prior to the beginning of the Event.
- Forums Members are responsible to warn the friends if they misbehave, otherwise Referees will take disciplinary actions against them.
Remember, "having fun" is the ultimate goal in the entire Event, "winning" is just an additional bonus and should not be the only goal of participation on this Event.

*REMEMBER - Buy a Red/Blue shirt before the event starts (doesn't matter what kind) so we can easily pick out which team is what.
