Alright, let me clarify the crewing arrangement, because it looks like some ppl are afraid to sign up because they are not 100% positive that they will make it to the event, because they maybe want to crew up with their own friends or whatever reason it might be. If there are many people who were not too shy to speak up to attend the Pirate's Ball/Dance
, then there should not be any reason to be afraid to speak up here as well.
- This is crew competition. And just like an SvS tournament, signing up here will make it easier for you, who would like to join
to know your own crew, and for us, the Referees to know
who would like to participate in this event.
- It will
save us a lot of time trying to look for a crew when the event takes place. We will have a lot of activities, and we will try to get the most for everybody in 2-hour period. Just as you all voted, some of you would like to loot, fight bosses, do competition and just hang out freely, and we are trying to accomodate as many activities as possible within that time frame.
We will make some adjustment on how we arrange the crews:
- The number pirates on each crew is no more than 6, but no fewer than 4. The reason is, the bigger the crew is, the harder for a crew to get to the next post of assignment at the same time. Remember, in order to be counted as reaching the next post and receive the next assignment (a riddle and a destination/task to do - running/swimming/sailing), the entire crew has to report to the Referee in the post. But if the crew is too small, it will be unfair to other crews that have more crew members on them.
- If any of you is ready to be a crew leader, he/she could sign up. Just like in SvS. Crew members do not have to sign up, unless they just want to. Others who want to join any crew leader as crew members could just express their wish to the crew leader.
- You could sign up as a guild. Since there are 6 ppl max on each crew, one guild can have more than one crew.
- Any crew leader who signs up, has the right to pick their crew 'uniform'. Uniform can range from Team Color (Red, Blue, White, Gold, or color of your choice), to Team Attribute (hat, jacket, etc.). This uniform will make it easier for Referees to identify your crew. Every crew member has to wear the their Team Color or Team Attribute. For instance, if one team chooses to have Barbossa hat as the team attribute, everybody in that team has to wear Barbossa hat, may it be pirate lads or lasses. Or if one team chooses Red as the team color, everybody in that team has to have some kind of Red on their outfit, may it be a sash, hat, shirt, pants, etc.
OK, let's sign up, guys ... The majority of poll would like to have this event, so let's make it happen!
